Terms of Use

These terms are the agreement between you and Anemoia Labs Ltd ("we", "us") for the app Quran - Widgets & Prayer Times ("the app"). By using the app you accept them. Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies, and where the two differ, these terms take precedence to the extent Apple's agreement allows.

The app

The app shows ayat of the Quran with their translations, calculates prayer times and the Qibla for your location, plays or schedules the adhan, and provides Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets. Some features are free; the rest need Quran Pro.

Quran Pro

Quran Pro is sold as an auto-renewing subscription (yearly or weekly), through Apple's App Store. Prices are shown in the app in your local currency before you buy.

• Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase.
• A subscription renews automatically unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
• You can manage or cancel a subscription in your Apple ID settings (Settings, your name, Subscriptions) at any time. Cancelling stops future renewals; the current period runs to its end.
• An introductory or discounted price offered in the app applies to the first period only; it renews at the standard price shown at the time of purchase.
• Refunds are handled by Apple under Apple's policies. We cannot issue refunds ourselves.

Gifts

Every purchase of Quran Pro includes one gift: a code worth one month of Quran Pro for another person. A gift code can be minted once per purchase, must be redeemed within 30 days of being created, and can be redeemed once. Redeeming requires signing in. Gifts have no cash value, cannot be exchanged for money or credit, and may be withdrawn if a purchase is refunded or found to be fraudulent.

Accounts

An account is optional. If you create one, keep your sign-in secure and tell us if you think it has been misused. You can delete your account at any time from inside the app; deletion is permanent.

Prayer times and the Qibla

Prayer times are calculated on your device from your location using recognised calculation methods, and the Qibla from your device's compass. They are estimates. Compass readings depend on your phone and its surroundings. Please confirm with your local mosque or community, in particular for Fajr and Isha at high latitudes and for the start of Ramadan and Eid, which depend on moon sighting.

Scripture and content

The Arabic text of the Quran is presented in full and unaltered; an ayah is never cut short. English translations are those of Abdullah Yusuf Ali and Marmaduke Pickthall, which are in the public domain. Duas, the Names of Allah and other content are provided for personal devotional use. You may share ayat from the app; you may not scrape, resell or redistribute the app's content or paintings as your own.

Acceptable use

Do not use the app to break the law, to harm others, or to interfere with its operation, and do not attempt to bypass purchase requirements or to mint or redeem gift codes you are not entitled to.

Availability and changes

We work to keep the app available and correct, but we do not promise that it will be free of errors or interruptions. We may change or withdraw features, and we may update these terms; if a change matters, the app will tell you. Continued use after a change means you accept it.

Liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the app, including from inaccurate prayer times or a missed prayer, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the courts of England and Wales, without affecting any rights you have as a consumer in the country where you live.
