Write to support@anemoialabs.com and a person will answer, usually within a day. Include your phone model and what you were doing when it went wrong. The answers below cover most of what we are asked.
Prayer times look wrong
Times depend on your location and the calculation method. Open the Prayer tab and check the city shown at the top. If it is wrong, tap it to use your location again or type your city. Then check the method under Calculation: different countries and communities use different conventions (for example ISNA in North America, Muslim World League in Europe, Umm al-Qura in Saudi Arabia). The Asr toggle switches between the Standard and Hanafi timing. If your local mosque publishes times, pick the method that matches them.
Widgets do not update
Widgets read a schedule the app writes for the next 45 days, so they keep working without the app open. If one looks stuck, open the app once; that rewrites the schedule and refreshes every widget. iOS itself refreshes widgets at its own pace, so a change can take a minute to appear.
Adding a widget
Home Screen: touch and hold an empty spot, tap the plus, search for Quran, choose a size and tap Add Widget. Lock Screen: touch and hold the Lock Screen, tap Customise, tap the area under the clock, and pick Quran.
The adhan did not play
Adhan notifications are scheduled on your phone. Check that notifications are allowed for Quran in iOS Settings and that Focus or Do Not Disturb is not silencing them. In the app, Profile then Prayer and adhan shows which prayers are on.
Restoring a purchase
On a new phone, or after reinstalling, open the paywall and tap Restore. Purchases are tied to your Apple ID, so make sure you are signed in with the same one. If Restore finds nothing, email us with the receipt from Apple and we will sort it.
Gift codes
Every purchase of Quran Pro comes with a gift: a month of Pro for a friend. Find it under Profile, Your gift. Your friend enters the code under Redeem your gift on the paywall, or opens the link you send. The code must be redeemed within 30 days and needs a sign-in so the gift can be kept.
Cancelling a subscription
Subscriptions are managed by Apple: Settings, your name at the top, Subscriptions, then Quran. Cancelling stops the next renewal; the current period runs to its end. Refunds are requested from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Deleting your account
Profile, then Delete account. It removes your account and everything synced to it. Data on the phone goes when you delete the app.
Translations
The app ships with the Yusuf Ali and Pickthall translations, and an Arabic-only mode. Change it under Profile, Reading.
