Times are for central Tehran in local time, by the Tehran method with Asr by the Shafi'i, Maliki and Hanbali reckoning, when a shadow equals the length of its object plus its noon shadow. These are the settings the Quran app chooses for Iran, and you can change both in the app.

How these times are calculated
Each time comes from the position of the sun over Tehran (35.689, 51.389) on the day, worked out with the open source adhan library, the same one the app uses. Fajr begins when the sun is 17.7 degrees below the eastern horizon. Sunrise is when the top of the sun clears the horizon, and Dhuhr is when the sun passes its highest point. Maghrib is when the sun is 4.5 degrees below the western horizon. Isha begins when the sun is 14 degrees below the western horizon.
Your local mosque may publish a timetable that differs by a few minutes, especially for Fajr and Isha. When the two disagree, follow your mosque.
